Deaf Women's Workshop - Louisiana 03/30/2010
![]() March 6, 2010, Saturday we had "I Thirst for God, the Living God" Psalm 42:2 - Deaf Women workshop, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hosanna Church in Marrero, LA. Nine of us, deaf women went out to eat at Ryan's for luncheon and fellowship. After luncheon, we all went back to Hosanna Church for Deaf Women workshop. What a wonderful time! Regayna Rester led the worship service. Cheryl Ragas shared the word, based on John 4:4-26: it is about a woman at the well. She wanted us to see how much we all can relate to her and we all thirst for the living water. Jesus is the Water of Life. What a time of encouragement - what a refreshing time for our souls. Carla Miller led Q&As for all of us to share what we learned from the story of a woman at the well. Regayna, Cheryl and Carla received positive feedbacks from six deaf ladies - they are very blessed and touched by the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Jesus! ![]() Our Speaker is Rev. Cindy Dively, our NF Women President. The Theme is "Thirsty? I Thirst for God, the Living God". October 8-10, 2010 at Potomac Park Camp, Falling Waters, WV. National AG Women's Ministry Update 02/03/2010
![]() January 15, 2010 Volume 5, Number 3 Here is the weekly update you requested, featuring a message from the National Women’s Department. 2010 Theme: Thirsty? February 28 is National Women's Day in the Assemblies of God, a special day on our church calendar when we focus on ministry for and by women in our congregations across the nation. Theme message writer Reverend Lori O'Dea says, "John 4 captures an exchange between the Savior and a woman who encounters Him at the village well. At the heart of the conversation, Jesus touches her deepest desire, and offers living water. She does not know how to respond. Her limited understanding causes her to downsize what He presents to fit her current existence. She jumps at the idea of not having to carry water every day. He lifts the blinders that limit her vision and tenders a whole new life. He continues to reveal himself as Messiah. When she shares the good news with her village, you can almost hear the hope growing within her. Living water produces life-not just any kind of life-but the hope-filled, purpose-producing, faith-building, capacity-expanding kind of life that dares to believe God can do anything." The theme verse comes from the Psalmist David who says, "I thirst for God, the living God" (Psalm 42:2, NLT). The 2010 National Women's Day service gives an opportunity for every church to honor its women and encourage them to expand the ministries they currently share. Churches may wish to recognize women for their varied and valuable contributions to the ministries of the entire church. National Women's Day also allows each congregation an opportunity to give an offering to support the National Women's Department. These offerings help continue the ministries provided to the women of the Assemblies of God across the nation and around the world.
