I am in Charelston with my son and his family. Their youngest baby, my granddaughter Abigail Marie, died on May 28th. She was only 2 1/2 months old. She died in her sleep, we are still waiting for blood test and toxicology reports for cause of death. Please keep our family in your prayers. Our son was due to report to Norfolk next month, his deployment has been delayed due to Abigail's death. I wil be with my son during this sad time and during their move. Thank you for the General council info, at this point I do not know if I will be in attendance. Thanks for your payers. nj NF Mission Statement To empower Pentecostal Deaf believers to fulfill their purpose in serving Jesus Christ. Hello Brother and sister in Christ, This is the pictures of Thai deaf in summer camp April 13-16.We were very glad to join together 4 Churches and God gave us his mercy anointing very strong some deaf cried some deaf spoke in tongue and some of them laughing. We send the pictures to tell you we are here.God loves you all. Love in Christ. Yoon The picture to the right is a cross that Janet made herself. In fact she made so many of them, they were passed out at her funeral to every person who attended, with a few left over. Was she preparing for heaven? One way or the other, the answer is "yes." Janet Hartman is Nancy Tonnessen's Mother, New Jersey district. Here is the poem that was signed at Janet's funeral: A DEAF CHRISTIAN'S PRAYER Do the angels sing in heaven, Lord? will i hear the music there? or must I stand in a corner while others join in prayer? Will I wonder what they are saying, Lord? Like i often do down here? Must I sit still and be patient While the bells ring loud and clear? Can I read your lips in heaven, Lord? or will i be brushed aside? While i hide my hands in my pockets because of wounded pride? Will the saints all stand to praise thee, while I sit in silence wait? Will you have a place for me or must i wait at the gate? And, God, who loves the humble, whispered into the anxious ear. "My child has no one told you, there is no deafness here." "Hold out your hands my little one, for heaven all to see. We've heard them pray so many times. Each prayer reached up to me." "See, all the angels are waiting. The gate is open wide." Your crown of life is waiting. And I shall be your guide." "I have a song to give you, your song will be loud and clear." Your song of praise my Deaf one, will be the sweetest song up here." A Letter From North Central U. 04/21/2011
From: Michael J. White On Behalf Of Internal Relations Sent: Monday, April 18, 2011 16:55 To: North Central University Employees Subject: University Business Announcement Dear North Central, There has been a miracle in our midst and it is worth sharing. As many of you know, a decision to phase out the Carlstrom Deaf Studies program at NCU was made earlier in the year due to fiscal responsibility issues. However, last Friday, God in His providence, brought a generous benefactor NCU’s way with a promised initial donation of $3-400,000 and possible subsequent donations to total around 1 million dollars in upcoming years. The monies are to be endowed, which will fund the program into the future. So it is with great please to announce, North Central University’s Carlstrom Deaf Studies program will continue due to the promised gift to the University. This information was shared today in chapel and those in attendance erupted with thunderous applause. To God be the Glory Greetings! Just a word of thanks to all who have been praying for the Carlstrom Deaf Studies Pastoral Ministries program. As you know, in February, the NCU Administration announced the closing of the program in the Spring of 2012. It is with great joy that we announce the gracious hand of provision by our Lord and Savior. On Friday, April 15, the Lord provided donors who have committed $400,000 by the Fall to start the endowment for the CDS program and will complete the needed additional $600,000+ in due time to complete an endowment of $1.000,000 to keep the Deaf Pastoral Studies program permanently open. It is the heart for training Deaf pastors and a commitment to obedience that made this donation possible. The Administration has clearly announced today in our North Central Chapel that the program will NOT be closing. This is only the beginning though -- we would like to see our alumni get behind the program financially as well to secure a sustaining endowment. Bless the Lord and thank you for your prayer support. JoAnn L. Smith (Dr. J.) Hi Everyone, As most of you are aware that my mom, Janet Hartman, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening 4/13, peacefully. I'm so thankful to know that she's with Jesus. Keeping the practical aspects in mind, I want to be sure that everyone gets the info regarding the funeral arrangements. Monday, April 18th. 2nd Annual Liberty Deaf Women Fellowship, March 26, 2011, Saturday at Liberty Deaf Church – A/G from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. we had “Quiet Influence” based on I Peter 3:4, saying “Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in”. We had 24 ladies attending. Cindy Dively, our NF Women’s President from Minnesota was our speaker and she was so anointing. One deaf lady told me that she enjoyed Cindy’s speaking and the fellowship and she wants to come back next year for 3rd annual! What a blessing to see 24 ladies to be blessed by God’s word and His presence. We had 2 young ladies performing a special ASL song. Several ladies come forward for healing prayers. The best part is that we all prayed for each other. God was surely upon them. Praise His name. We all went out to Drusilla Seafood for a time of fellowship. We can see Cindy enjoyed our Southern/Cajun food. After that we came back for more of Cindy’s preaching…we had outside a little bonfire that we all turned in our personal notes to the fire, believing God hears our inner prayers. We had words of encouragement. Hope and pray you all enjoyed seeing the pictures.
