Mexico City is sinking in the mud below it. Because of this, when you pour a cement floor, within weeks it will crack. Our floors in several rooms had huge cracks in it. Putting tile over it, with an inch thick or more of flexible mortar helps provide a floor that basically you can walk on without tripping over the cracks. So, we had our deaf tile man put tile over the cracking cement. Here are the photos for it. Each room cost about $400 to do, the materials and the labor.
